Just some general random thoughts of mine...
Its amazing how you can transplant, uproot, and reseed your life. And watch it grow to new potentials.
It is weird to see people come into and then leave your life.
Some people take religion wayyyyyyyyyyyy too seriously and like to preach about certain things that they see in the Bible but dont like to discuss the things that people dont do anymore that are also mntioned in the bible (ie beating woman, slaves, etc).
Bourbon Street in New Orleans is overrated, and is more of a tourists spot and paradise for hustlers. The French Quarter is a lot nicer and is as much fun, if not moreso than Bourbon Street.
The "Davinci Code" kicks ass, pick it up and read it.
Entering into a field of study you have no knowledge of is both challenging and rewarding. Especially when you are kicking ass grade wise.
Meeting family that you havent seen in 16 years can be a little nerve-wracking at first. But it can also make you realize that there are others a lot like you out there who are a part of your family. I am happy now that my cousins and I are close, especially since I see them practically every weekend.
I realized I havent blogged in a while, but rather have been keeping my thoughts in a journal. The journal is a great compass to help steer you in the direction that you want life to take you.
You dont realize you have an accent till ALL sorts of people stop and ask "where are you from?". It grows tiresome at times, but is also fun to talk about home.
Time to think is also time to clear the head which means more time to read up on the classics such as Shakesphere, Dante, and Chaucer.
When you are away from people for a while, it warms the heart to hear people who are not your family ask "When are you coming home? We miss you".
My Lieutenant is a big fan of 'Seabiscuit'. As is now my father.
You really, really have to be yourself in life cause a lot of people arent.
Writing random thoughts is like novacaine for the soul.
Drive-thru daiquiri stands in Louisiana rule!!
