Name:
Location: Okinawa (Normally Thrilling Thiells), NY, Japan

I am a cool laid back cat that like to be all hip on the fun spots in big cities (I know hot spots in N'orleans and learned of alot in NY). I love to travel and meet new people and just chat for hours as if we are old reunited friends. I am also heavily into movies and AFI's 100. I might want to become a film historian or something like that. I LOVE baseball!! I just cant get enough of it, and there is plenty here in Japan.

Well last week was certainly an adventurous one. I began work at the school this year and it is an all new program that is really intensive special ed kids. A program where we have rules from the Central office, from the school itself, and from the head of special education too. Add in the compounded problems of not knowing what the hell I was teaching, and a classroom that was not complete. Needles to say, it was a totally nerve wracking experience. Right now we only have 4 kids in the class between two teachers and a pshycologist on site at all times. The kids were a lil upset that we had to escort them everywhere in the building and this program is sooo intensive that they are not allowed to even hang out in the lunchroom. The normal repertoire is they have class half the day and the other half they have BOCES (A place where kids learn a trade). But last Wednesday they were stuck with us all day and it added to the tension. That and the fact that I am still on a summer sleep schedule, made for a tense day. But I survived. And it got better as the week went on. We relaxed the rules a lil and they relaxed a lil in general. These kids need the courses we teach to get a diploma and we will work with them all the way. It is like having a teacher on demand, and I am enjoying it now. It is like being a pioneer, a lil nerve wracking, but once things settle down, life goes on...I am excited and have all my plans made up for the next two weeks.

One of the things that definetly helped me get through the week was my girl. Just knowing that she was there to talk to in the end and help me to relax after the long day is such a heartwarming thing to know. I trulyam blessed to be with her and I wish only to promote health and happiness in her. We had another great weekend of fun times and what not. I got a chance to meet her friends, who were ultra cool and what not. We ended the night just holding each other and what not. She is the best and I learned that she copies the Supremes when she sleeps...

Saturday she got to see the debauchery that occurs during and most especially after a parade. I was in the color guard holding the flag and was all tense as it was trying to make sure that the eagle at the top of the pole was facing straight or we face deduction of points. I have been in my department for 11 years and have been in the color guard for almost EVERY single parade since I joined. I teach the young guys how to be in the color guard, and what it entails and one day we shall be rewarded with a trophy for our patience. LOL...I guess my job as a teacher is never over. But I really dont mind.

Myself and Gwen had a great time hanging out after the parade and she had a great time just hanging with all the cool peeps from the hut. And her name got straightend out by "Yossell", who misheard her name the week before ("Hey when and where!!"). We won a few trophies which is rare in the last few years so the mood was lifted even higher than it was when we started the day. And we all went out to party it up with all the wild boys and girls. And the douches with cowboy hats. (No offense to people from the south, but NY is no place for a hat if you are from NY.) It also reminds me of a joke What is the differenc between tampons and cowboy hats?? Cowboy hats are for assholes.... But we had a great time and I was saddened that it all went so fast. Ohhh well things are great and they can only get higher and higher as Jackie Wilson says...

For you Gwen, I have nothing but a big Mwah!! For you...Have a great day and an even better evening everyone. I know I am ;-), especially after chatting with her...
