"Dont try to be a great man, just be a man and let history decide the rest."

Name:
Location: Okinawa (Normally Thrilling Thiells), NY, Japan

I am a cool laid back cat that like to be all hip on the fun spots in big cities (I know hot spots in N'orleans and learned of alot in NY). I love to travel and meet new people and just chat for hours as if we are old reunited friends. I am also heavily into movies and AFI's 100. I might want to become a film historian or something like that. I LOVE baseball!! I just cant get enough of it, and there is plenty here in Japan.

I had a great time going out to the Hard Rock last night, but I must admit that I was not totally feeling the vibe there either. It was great to see a lot of faces that I have not seen in a while. There are just too many to nam and I dont feel like being a name dropper. But for the most part there was some sort of weird vibe throughout the place, and add to the fact that I was awake since 530AM and it makes for a Doogie without all the funk. So that is why I was "so calmed down" cause I was shot from a veryyyyyyyy long day at school (thanks to the drama queen new pupil), having a pre-observation conference, going to a talent show to chaperonne/be the kill-switch guy, and then going down to the Hard Rock. So to many who may wander here and think I was a lil snobby, I apologize. I was just shot and reallyyyyyyyyyy needed a drink of coke. That is why I rally couldnt stay in the crowd for too long, cause I wanted to talk to everyone, but it was sooooo bloody loud.

One a lighter note, it should be noted that on my way back to Gwen's, someone was broken down on the NB side of the Saw Mill around a blind bend and I smashed my car right into her's. Her car is a lil bngd up, but nothing that cant be repaired. My car on the other hand was smashed up good, and I fear it may be totalled. Which is something that I rally dont need right about now. See the illustration here:

To my sweet, sweet angel Gwen, thank you for coming to get me form the side of the Saw Mill. You truly are the best, and I am indebted to you both for all that you have done favor wise and mainly from the bottom of my heart. I am crazy for you and all that you do. And I am there for you in both thick and thin, even when I cant be there for everything...I will be there for you in spirit.

Well nothing much to write about right now...I am just killing time while we all test out our new internet access in our classroom and I am updating a few new pictures on my site (check out the awesome pic of Dr. Katz as a pimp on the side).

This weekend was a great weekend overall cause I got to spend it with the girl. There is nothing quite like Japanese food, the comedic stylings of Lewis Black/Dave Attell, hanging with the awesome duo of Petrina, and Mike, Pastrami sandwiches, foosball (ya barely beat me hun), and naps. In other words as close to utopia as you could possibly get. Also I got some of the pictures devolped from Montreal and other various events that have been stored for a year and a half on a camera.

Gwen has some of these pictures and should be posting them soon. Well I have two more busy ass weekend in October, then November turns into a month of just rest. I think that is why I am aching a lil more than usual, I need some rest from this crazy ass month. Well that is all for now...expect an update later on.

Alright, the weekend can be summed up at the girlfriends site. It was a kick ass trip, and I must say that I was very moved at the Cathedral of Notre Dame. And those who know me, know that I am not spiritual, but I have to just say wow to it...

Well fast forwarding, things have been good this week. Had my first of three required observations this week and it went very well. Some things that I still have to work on, and I can honestly say that I have improved it since. Yesterday was a lil bit of a long day. We had one of our kids come in high, and we didnt want to send him to the Vocational Part of our program in his condition. So he basically just slept in the pshycologist office as per orders from the Vice Principal. I had a seminar in the afternoon which was happy, happy, joy, joy goodness.

After that though I went out with Gwen for dinner at Legal Seafood. I had the lobster ravioli which was just equisite. We then saw Kill Bill. I must say that when I saw the trailer for this movie last year I practically creamed my pants. I will say that the movie did not disappoint in the least bit except for one thing...it ended when it did!! I know some people dont want to sit for a four hour movie. But that mofo was flowing and I was loving every minute of it!! I mean look at Uma here:

I mean she was totally kicking ass and I thought it was well written. I can not wait for "Volume 2" to come out in February, another movie notched onto the list...

The final thing I will say is about the baseball playoffs. I remember a great quote I heard about 2 of the 4 teams that were participating this year. It goes "There are two types of pain in baseball. There is Chicago Cub pain of never getting there, and then there is Boston Red Sox pain. Which is getting so close to the end they almost win, and it all just collapses on them in the end. With that I bid you all adieu, be safe, and be well...

I am adding a new link to my site which would take you to all the speeches of Winston Churchill, Englands greatest Prime Minister...at least in the 20th Century. I also found a good pic of the fashion show from Friday with myself and Gwen and will be posting that soon...and alas without further ado, I give ya my joke of the week: A commercial plane is flying along when suddenly it zooms straight down and then levels off again.
The captain comes on the intercom and says, "Folks, I'm sorry if I scared you, but a flight attendant brought me a cup of coffee and spilled it into in my lap. You should see the front of my pants."
An old lady in coach yells, "Oh, yeah? You should see the back of my pants."

Have a good night and a pleasant tommorow...

Well this weekend was certainly a wonderful one. First off it started off great before the weekend began. I got to see my girl almost every day, and we even participated in a fashion show. We spent Thursday together cause it was just a crappy day, and sometimes the simplest things can make for the most cherished memories. It was just PJ and suds night, and we goofed on everything we could see on the tele. On Friday we took part in the fashion show, and Gwen looked stunningly wonderful all gussied up in her dress with her tiara and what not. Christie was also a stunner with her outfit on. There will be pics added here as soon as I get them developed of the whole event, and there will be another show in the springtime. So if anyone would like to contribute/participate in or even just attend I will post the time and place of the event here.

Saturday was Woodbury Commons day where we got some new duds at various outlets including GAP, JCrew, and what not. Some of the stuff we got will help upgrade Doogie and Gwen to 3.0, but that is for another time...The night was spent out watching Japanese recite "Tora, Tora, Tora" in all their birthday songs to their unfortunate victims with Lou and Lisa (I need to fix my hyperlinks so just bear with me). We then moved the night to 'New Roc City' which was J2 (squared) South, to see "School of Rock". It was a good movie, but the previews were just God Awful. I think we had more fun Mystying the previews than watching them, especially to see Ben Affleck lose his memories of 'Gigli'. Next time we are sooooooooooooo doing the glow in the dark mini-golf. That looked like it will rock, but alas as Gwen said we are all getting older and our AARP discount cards didnt cover the expenses.

Sunday was just brunch, commute to Rockland, Foosball, Band Of Brothers, Baseball playoffs day. And I think I made a new audience for Gwen's gramps, especially with my joke about the people of Brooklyn believing that the Dodgers were on a 46-year road trip. The weekend was all summed up with the following phrase: "IT'S 6:40!?!?!?!" (Insert Nadia Comeniche style leaping). It was a great weekend with great people involved, most especially Gwen...

Ohhh my God, you must click this link here, this is probably one of the funniest things I have stumbled across on the internet. It just shows another reason why Good English as we know it is dissappearing, yet allow you to survive and mix in with the jive kids on the street...like this Kat

Anybody remember this bubble bath commercial from the 1980's-1990's where the chick would always shout "Calgon, take me away!!" when things got all fucked up and what not...that is how I am feeling right about now :-( . Shit be all fucked up...

Or perhaps I just need this

Either way I just need a lil downtime right about now...
